Dr. Brian Trieu was born and raised in Calgary and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary in 2011. He later obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2017.

While in Chicago, Dr. Trieu served as president of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Club and presented research at the American Academy of Optometry on binasal occlusion. His study focused on identifying the average level of binasal occlusion needed for patients to experience subjective improvement in symptoms.
His externship experience also included managing ocular surface diseases—such as dry eye and keratoconus—using scleral lenses at the Illinois Eye Institute.
Now practicing in Calgary for nearly a decade, Dr. Trieu has developed a special interest in treating dry eye disease, particularly Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). At True Vision Optometry, he utilizes state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and manage MGD, delivering advanced, personalized care to his patients.
Dr. Trieu is dedicated to preserving ocular health through a holistic approach to eye care, helping his patients maintain optimal vision and overall well-being.

Dr. Matthew Trieu grew up in Calgary and has lived in the North East his entire life. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary. Dr. Trieu then moved to Philadelphia and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2016.
Dr. Matthew Trieu's experience includes externships at the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital where he managed ocular disease such as diabetes and macular degeneration. He rotated through Aran Eye Associates in Miami, working closely with ophthalmologists managing post cataract patients and other ocular diseases. He completed an externship in Raleigh, North Carolina where he performed vision therapy on post concussive patients and worked with the optometrist for the NHL team Carolina Hurricanes.

Dr. Amaniampong is passionate about providing quality eye care to patients of all ages and ensuring that all of her patients have a thorough understanding of their vision and ocular health. She has special interest in ocular emergencies, myopia control and dry eye disease. Outside of work, Dr. Amaniampong loves to travel, spend time with her family and friends and try new restaurants.
