At True Vision Optometry, we provide comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings from children to seniors. We do direct billing for all major insurances. Exams for children 19 and under, as well as seniors over 65, are covered by Alberta Health Care.
Your child is recommended to have an eye exam beginning at 6 months of age, at 3 years old and every year after school starts. Follow-ups that may be needed more than every year are also covered by Alberta Health Care. Vision accounts for 80% of our learning, which makes it a vastly important part of your child's development. Certain eye conditions such as amblyopia (lazy eye) can be treated as your child is still developing. Our optometrists can implement treatment options such as patching of the eye or vision therapy.
As we age, there are changes in our eyes and our vision. The first large change begins in our early 40's which is called presbyopia. During this time, our near vision becomes weaker and patients will begin to adapt by holding reading material further away or using more light. Our optometrists at True Vision can recommend progressive lenses or office lenses that can help in our daily lives.
Our optometrists at True Vision Optometry are ready to take care of all your visual needs for your entire family. Please contact us with any questions.
